Looking for a structured way to adopt a meditation practice and start a routine you can actually stick to and understand? Let go of all your false stories about meditation, tune into your breath and get ready to find balance, my key word for 2023. In this 10-day meditation journey, I will ease you into a routine/ ritual (Tapas) and help you reap all of the rewards meditation has to offer. Each day we will focus on a facet that links our mind to our body (and breath) to help you evolve a practice that works for you! Starting and persisting with a meditation practice is not as hard as you think, so let's go slow. We will start by devoting just 5 minutes a day for the first few days (preferably when you first wake in the am) and gradually work our way to 20+ minutes of mindfulness each day. It doesn't have to be all at once might be 4 rounds of 5 minutes over whole day. We will learn how to tune into our breath, different breathing techniques, bringing stillness to the mind, noticing areas of tension and discomfort in the body, and discovering tools to amplify our meditation experience. We will also practice guided visualisation meditations and have a brief introduction to our chakra system. All of this is outlined in my "Shapeshifting one yoga flow at a time journal" Each day we will practice turning in our awareness to the sensations in our body, to the fluctuations in our mind, and to the quality, of our breath so that we may find those deeper states of relaxation.
